Seeing the inequality facing women and young people today inspired me to get active! You Make It is all about giving women access to the same educational and employment opportunities enjoyed by their more advantaged peers and enabling them to become confident and driven members of society.
Since completing my Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages, I have built my experience working with women and girl’s charities such as Brixton Baytree Centre and Solace Women’s Aid. My skills in this area are youth mentoring and engagement, creative educational learning and social media and PR.
I am a committed feminist and writer, published in the Feminist Review Journal; my writing focuses on gender dynamics in film and the relationship between London and the Asian diaspora.
